Logo/Title Idea Sketches
No. 1
Some of the titles I had looked at were not thick and bold, but were more slender and thin, like this one. The font that will be used is a Sans Serif but the 'trees' coming out of the I,L and N are extensions to the font and are not apart of the font. The colour I will use is a white, this is because it'll stand out from the darker tones of the products it will be used in.
No. 2
This title is again a sans serif font and is ideally going to be the impact font. There will be a forest treetops in a black silhouette that goes across the text inside of the font. The colour of the silhouette is black whilst the rest of the letters are red. I chose red because this connotes danger, this makes sense as the forest is dangerous in the film.
No. 3
This title is a sans serif and will ideally be the impact font, the background of the logo is supposed to represent roots from trees, this can connote family roots, which I chose to connote as the brothers in the film are related. The roots will be red to not just connote danger but it will also denote blood because the brothers are related through blood. The colour of the text will be a bone white colour as it contrasts well with the red.
Evidence:
Mock-Up of Film Poster:
The purpose of the film poster I have made a mock-up of are
to advertise and persuade the audiences its target towards to see or purchase
the film, most likely if the poster is placed on a billboard that would be shown
to publics through pathways and roads. The target audience for the film poster
are for the majority males aged between 16 and 21, especially with the two
characters shown being teenagers themselves, it could easily make an ideal self
and so relate to the target audiences. The film poster could easily be seen
by the audience who are the social grade D (This also being our target audience’s
social grade) as they don’t really need to spend anything to see the film
poster on a billboard.
DVD Cover Sketch:
Mock-Up of DVD Cover:
The purpose of the film's DVD cover I have made a mock-up of is to advertise and persuade the audiences its target towards to see or purchase the film, the DVD cover will be typically placed on cases containing the film and will be seen in supermarkets (Such as Tesco) and film rental shops. The target audience for the DVD cover are for the majority males aged between 16 and 21, especially with the two characters shown being teenagers themselves, it could easily make an ideal self and so relate to the target audiences. The DVD cover could easily be seen by the audience who are the social grade D (This also being our target audience’s social grade) as their spending power could easily buy a DVD (typically costing around £10) so would go to a DVD rental shop and see the film DVD cover and hopefully be persuaded to purchase it.
Web Banner Sketch:
The purpose of the film's web banner I have made a mock-up of is to advertise and persuade the audiences its target towards to see or purchase the film, the web banner would definitely be seen on websites, most likely on film related films (Such as IMDb and Cineworld.co.uk), and even websites suited to the target audience, such as IGN.com. The target audience for the web banner are for the majority males aged between 16 and 21, especially with the two characters shown being teenagers themselves, it could easily make an ideal self and so relate to the target audiences. The DVD cover could easily be seen by the audience who are the social grade D (This also being our target audience’s social grade) as all they would need is a typical smartphone or laptop to view the site that the banner would be on, and accessing websites have no fee and so can easily be accessed with a basic internet connection.
